The MCA Depertment has been Established in the year 2021. MCA Depertment having 180 Seats,The department has been actively engaged in teaching and research in diverse fields of Computer Science and Application. With excellent experienced faculties, the department offers Postgraduate (MCA) courses.

The department is also enriched with experienced and quality faculties. Along with their basic duties of teaching they also guide our students to carry out project works. The students are also mentored by professors from IITs and NITs to carry out their internship projects. The faculties also engage themselves in guiding the scholars from our own workspace as well as from other colleges and universities. The department provides a platform for the students as well as scholars from outside domain to pursue their carrier for future endeavor.

Mission

M1: To impart high standard value-based technical education in all aspects of Computer Science and engineering through the state of the art infrastructure and innovative approach.

M2: To produce ethical, motivated, and skilled engineers through theoretical knowledge and practical applications.

M3: To impart the ability for tackling simple to complex problems individually as well as in a team.

M4: To develop globally competent professionals with strong foundations, capable of “out of the box” thinking so as to adapt to the rapidly changing scenarios requiring socially conscious green computing solutions.

Objectives

P.G. Depertment of Master in Computer Applications (MCA) with an intake of 60 students was established in the year 2021 with an approval of GATE. The Primary objective of this program is to train top class IT professionals so as to cater for the growing needs of various disciplines of computer application and Information Technology.

The main objective of the programme is to provide professional training in the area of computer applications and to develop computer professionals to meet the demand of the fast growing IT industry who excel in their profession through innovative ideas, knowledge and team work. Course work is designed to reflect the state-of-the-art both in its theoretical and application dimensions. The department imparts computer education to MCA students through class room lectures, seminars, group exercises, industry visits, projects and guest lectures by eminent personalities of the IT industry.
Our course curriculum is designed to provide our students a solid conceptual foundations and an extensive focus on application of these concepts to real life situations. The course content is a perfect blend of recent trends of Computer Science and information technology subjects in all five semesters. The Sixth semester is dedicated exclusively for project work. The students undertake projects covering almost the entire array of computer application and Information Technology in various reputed industries,in the country.

1.PO1 (Foundation Knowledge): Apply Knowledge of Mathematics, Programming logic and coding fundamentals for solution architecture and problem solving.
2.PO2 (Problem Analysis): identify, review, formulate and analyse problems for primarily focussing on customer requirements using critical thinking frameworks.
3.PO3 (Development of Solutions): Design, develop and investigate problems with an innovate approach for solutions incorporating ESG/SDG goals.
4.PO4 (Morden Tool Usage): Select, adapt and apply Morden computational tools such as development of algorithms with an understanding of the limitations including human biases.
5.PO5 (Individual and Teamwork): Function and communicate effectively as an individual or a team leader in diverse and multidisciplinary groups. Use methodologies such as a agile.
6.PO6 (Project Management and Finance): Use the principles of project management such as scheduling , work breakdown structure and be conversant with the principles of Finance for profitable project management.
7.PO7 (Ethics): Commit to professional ethics in managing software projects with financial aspects. Learn to use new technologies for cyber security and insulate customers from malware.
8.PO8 (Life-long Learning): Change management skills and the ability to learn ,keep up with contemporary technologies and ways of working.

Core Engineering Skills: Exhibit fundamental concepts of Data Structures, Databases, Operating Systems, Computer networks, Theory of Computation, Advanced Programming, and Software Engineering.
PSO2: Apply standard software engineering principles to develop viable solutions for Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES). Standard Software Engineering practices: Demonstrate an ability to design, develop, test, debug, deploy, analyze, troubleshoot, maintain, manage and secure software.
PSO3: Future Endeavors: Recognize the need to have knowledge of higher education institutions/ organizations/ companies related to computer science & engineering.
